Jessica Fridrich is the woman who invented one of the best ways of solving the rubiks cube. It is in 4 steps: Cross First Two Layers Orientate Last Layer Permute Last Layer

You solve the cross like normal, but then you have to pair up a corner with an edge and place it. Once you have to first two layers done, you make all the cubes on the top layer the same colour, then you move them into the correct spot.
